International Symposium on Life-World Semantics (2004.12.9)

Designing intuitive user interface with ambient intelligence

More and more people will require information support while moving in all real-world spaces in the future. However, we have targeted event spaces such as exhibitions, museums, concert halls, and so on for such support because it is unrealistic to arrange all real-world environments at once. One target of a ubiquitous computing environment is to aid users in getting necessary information and services in a situation- dependent form. We proposed a location- and orientation-based information support system using a Compact Battery-less Information Terminal (CoBIT).
