For Oral Presentation
Allotted Time:
The discussion among participants is a critical part of this workshop. It is very important that your oral presentation fits within 18 minutes strictly and you keep 7 minutes for questions and answers.
Language:
The official language of the workshop is English, but some of participants are not fluent in English. Please keep this in mind in your choice of words and phrasing.
Audio-Visual Support:
We will prepare a clip-on microphone, a normal XGA projector, and sound output from your laptop. You should test connection between your laptop and the projector in a preceding break time.
Demos:
As drawn in the layout for the poster session, we can accept a maximum of four demos from oral presenters. If you are interested in demonstrating your work at the dinner, please email to
workshop@digitalcity.jst.go.jp.
For Poster Presentation
The poster session takes place during the dinner time on 10th (18:00-21:00). Basically, your poster should appear on a poster panel before 18:00. The size of the panel is 120cm (width) x 210cm (height). You can use scissors, markers and thumbtacks available on site and ask our staff to help you to put your poster on the panel.
You can demonstrate your work by your own laptop. We can provide you one (or two if you need) 80cm square table and a power source. Please be aware of the spatial configuration shown in the layout for the poster session. Currently, we do not plan to prepare network connection.
Before the dinner you can introduce your poster very briefly in a special session. Please note that you can use no more than 5 minutes and only a few powerpoint slides (that must be sent to us beforehand) due to the limited time frame.
