Scaling Up Multi-Agent Systems by Technology Fusion

Designing, developing, deploying, and debugging Multi-Agent Systems containing many thousands or even millions of concurrent agents is quite beyond the capabilities of most agent technologies in use today.

We propose that effectively scaling up MAS demands a novel fusion of agent technologies and highly scalable enterprise technologies, such as databases and application servers. In this talk we report on our recent progress towards this objective and the challenges still ahead.
